Introduction

iTopchiyev’s FingersTune is a musical instrument very simple in use. It’s inspired by such interesting applications like Smule’s Ocarina, Leaf Trombone, iTopchiyev’s Ocarina Pitcher, Apple’s iTunes and many other nice products.

Why we created FingersTune

“From childhood I dreamed to learn how to play piano, guitar or something else. I think this is fine to have a handheld instrument and be able to play it.

We saw a few musical applications implemented on the iPhone. We liked the iPhone as a target device. But most musical applications proved to be inconvenient to use, although they had some good ideas. In the end, we decided to create our own application. During our work we found a lot of new ideas and implemented most of them. But new ideas are still being collected, deliberated and being implemented in new updates.

FingersTune.com

FingersTune.com is a web application. It is based on Word Press core.
It is designed to let our users to manage all their FingersTune related contents, to post their melodies. Comment others posts, download melodies, discuss and communicate with each other.

All these features are available from just a web browser. We support most popular browsers: Google’s Chrome , Apple’s Safari, Mozillas’s Firefox, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7+. And we partly support Opera Software’s Opera browser.
We support Mac, Windows and Linux platforms.

But we DON’T and WILL NOT support MICROSOFT’S INTERNET EXPLORER 6.x. Let’s skip the reasons.

The Mac Version

Especially for Mac Users we created a Mac Version of FingersTune. It does almost everything the Web Application does, and it does it quicker. It is developed in the Native Cocoa style. The binary is compiled in Universal Binary Mode, and supports Intel and PPC machines. FingersTune for Mac is a FREE for DOWNLOAD AND FOR USE WITH NO LIMITATIONS AT ALL.
We do not plan to create a Windows or Linux versions. If you use a Windows or Linux computer please use the Web Application.

The iPhone Version

And finally FingersTune for iPhone! On iPhone every feature of FingersTune is fully reinterpreted, whole UI and every UI element is redesigned and restyled. To be comfortable for users. Plus a lot of features that do not exist on other versions.

Here the key features are listed:

Ocarina style Player (For playing a melody like playing on ocarina, but using different voices)
Melody Teacher (Helps to learn how to play a selected melody)
Melody Composer (Used to compose your own melodies, and play it)
